Marijuana cultivators aren’t the green hippie freaks they used to make themselves out to be.
Neither Washington nor Colorado insists on tests for fungicides or pesticides, so there aren’t any. But Denver just stopped sales of the mind bender due to worries unapproved substances might’ve tainted legal pot.
Some growers destroyed their stock rather than wait for test results. Wow. I imagine lots of crazy folk standing in the haze from the burning – if it was indeed burned and not farmed out to the black market.
As with 3D plastics printings and its attendant though foreseeable pollution, legal pot is yet another new “thing” that’s been hurriedly released due to popular demand, without regard to warnings of needed investigations about possible hazards. There are plenty of rational and scary reasons to take the matter of marijuana slow, such as its profligate water use, yet – as in olden days – who cares to listen to Cassandra?
